Deepening School-Enterprise Cooperation and Promoting Integration of Industry and Education —— Teachers and Students from Tsinghua University Visit Chuangxin Precision

From June to July, Dr. Yang Yang from the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology of Tsinghua University led over 20 outstanding students from Tsinghua University to carry out practical research activities themed "Carbon Neutrality Capacity Enhancement" and "Enterprise Innovation and Reform" at Chuangxin Precision in two batches. They gained a first-hand understanding of the development dynamics of the aluminum industry and explored new paths for the construction of zero-carbon factories in aluminum manufacturing as well as enterprise development and innovation reform.

On June 30th, Dr. Yang Yang from Tsinghua University led 5 outstanding students of the university in a practical activity themed "Research on the Construction Path of Zero-Carbon Factories in Aluminum Manufacturing — An Exploration Based on Clean Electrification".

At Chuangxin Precision, the teachers and students from Tsinghua University conducted an in-depth visit to the waste aluminum recycling workshop, R&D center, extrusion workshop and three-dimensional warehouse. They systematically learned about the company's R&D and production equipment, product processes, and strategic layout in emerging business areas such as aluminum zero-carbon production solutions, and personally experienced Chuangxin Precision's innovative strength and development potential in promoting intelligent manufacturing and zero-carbon transformation.

On July 1st, Chuangxin Precision and the Tsinghua University practice team held an opening report meeting. Taking zero-carbon aluminum production as a case study, the reported research focuses on the path of clean electrification. It plans to evaluate its carbon emission reduction and economic benefits, systematically identify the dual technical and economic barriers, and finally propose the construction path and standards for zero-carbon aluminum manufacturing factories, so as to provide scientific basis and practical guidance for the industry's zero-carbon standards and the company's zero-carbon intelligent manufacturing.

This university-enterprise cooperation innovatively adopts the "industry-university-research" trinity model. Through on-site research in the factory, students can better apply theoretical knowledge to actual production, which not only tests what they have learned, but also gathers multidisciplinary strength to solve practical problems. The research team has completed the on-site carbon audit of the entire aluminum production chain, accurately identified the carbon emission hotspots in key links such as enterprise casting and extrusion, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent establishment of an emission reduction benefit evaluation model based on measured data and the implementation of zero-carbon factories.

On July 26th, Dr. Yang Yang from Tsinghua University led 18 outstanding students of the university to Chuangxin Precision to carry out a practical activity themed "Practicing Innovation through Ideological and Political Education, Conducting Investigations on Reform".

On July 27th, the kick-off meeting for the practical project was held. Cui Guochang, General Manager of Chuangxin Precision, together with Tian Yao, Executive Deputy General Manager, Wang Xielin, Deputy General Manager of Production, and more than ten backbones of relevant business departments of the company attended the meeting.

With the title "Taking Strategic Synergy as the Guideline, Lean Operation as the Foundation, and Human Resource Appreciation as the Wing to Move Towards a World-Class Green Aluminum Alloy Material Benchmark Enterprise", Cui Guochang shared insights from five dimensions: the company's development history and future plans, transformation and reform, lean transformation, management and operation system, and human resources. Tian Yao gave a detailed introduction to Tsinghua University's teachers and students on systematic talent strategies such as the "Corporate University", demonstrating the broad career development channels that Chuangxin Precision has laid out for young talents. The participants also had discussions and exchanges with Tsinghua students on topics such as human resources and lean production.

To enable students to gain a deeper understanding of the enterprise and participate more profoundly in practical activities, Chuangxin Precision has meticulously designed and developed a series of courses, including "Transformation of Cutting-Edge R&D Project Achievements", "Company's Marketing Strategies and Market Competition Analysis", "Digital Production Technology", "Innovation in Recycled Aluminum Recycling Technology", "Design and Implementation of Automated Manufacturing in Aluminum Alloy Extrusion Factories", "Lean Management and Manufacturing", "Chuangxin Precision Human Resources Development Report", and "Logical Thinking That Keeps You Invincible". These courses have made the 4-day practical activities rich and fruitful.

To test the practical results and explore innovative paths, a practical training completion defense meeting was held on July 30. Three practice groups took turns to take the stage to share their research results. The first group analyzed the secrets of the enterprise's success from the dimensions of strategic planning, production management and marketing strategies, and put forward suggestions for the intelligent upgrading of the production line; the second group focused on the "Doctrine of the Mean" to interpret the art of balance in the enterprise's strategy, production and publicity; the third group focused on the "green advantages" to discuss the opportunities and challenges of automation reform.

The judges scored from the dimensions of "depth of content, innovation, feasibility, and expressive ability", and finally selected the "Sun at Noon Award", "Sun-Chasing Shine Award" and "Rising Star Award". Cui Guochang presented awards to the winning teams and expressed his expectation for more high-quality ideological exchanges between the two parties in the future.

This research is a beneficial practice of two-way empowerment. The students went deep into the frontline of the enterprise, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical cognition. Through exchanges with young students, the enterprise has gained many innovative suggestions, such as "optimization of the recycling system at the consumption end of recycled aluminum" and "improvement of user experience of digital platforms", which have been included in the subsequent improvement plan.

Going forward, Chuangxin Precision will carry out more "industry-university-research-application" cooperation with colleges and universities, achieve coordinated development in talent cultivation, technological research and development, etc., and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
