On March 26, the Seventh Meeting of the Fourth Council and Ninth Meeting of the Fourth Standing Council of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) convened in Beijing. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the meeting fully implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, as well as the Central Economic Work Conference, the National Two Sessions, and the Central Social Work Conference. Participants reviewed the association's key achievements in 2024, analyzed development trends in the nonferrous metals industry, and outlined critical tasks to promote high-quality sustainable development of China's nonferrous metals sector.
During the meeting, attendees deliberated and approved the Resolution on Adjusting, Adding, and Removing Members of the Fourth Council, Standing Council, and Vice Presidents (Draft), among other agenda items. Cui Lixin, Chairman of Innovation Group, was officially appointed as Vice President of CNIA through council member supplementation.
The conference also hosted the Fourth CNIA Entrepreneurs Forum. Chairman Cui Lixin delivered a keynote speech titled "Cultivating a Global Innovation Hub for Recycled Aluminum and Building a Nationwide Green Aluminum Transformation Model." He outlined Innovation Group's development milestones, analyzed current industry challenges, and proposed actionable recommendations for advancing high-quality development in aluminum manufacturing.
CNIA, comprising enterprises, institutions, and social organizations from China's nonferrous metals sector, serves as a vital bridge between government and industry. The association is committed to facilitating policy implementation and technological innovation to drive the high-quality development of China's nonferrous metals industry.
